Description
Hotel Spina Istanbul is a converted 19th century house featuring a striking wooden exterior with ornate Ottoman and Byzantine style architecture and interior decoration. DirectionsTaxis or dolmus (shared taxis) are available from the airport. Havas airport buses run to central Istanbul every 30 minutes at peak times, and hourly at around noon and at night (journey time is approximately 30 minutes). The city metro system runs between the airport and the Sultanahmet district. The nearest tram/metro station, Sultanahmet, is 150 metres from the hotel. The hotel can also arrange transport to and from the airport. The hotel can arrange daily city tours, cruise tours on the Istanbul Bosphorus and car rental. The best way to get around Izmir is on foot or by taxi. Municipal buses to and from Alcansak run regularly from the major bus hub at Konak. Public ferries cross Izmir Bay between Konak and the busy residential shopping area of Karsiyaka. A single line metro system connects Konak with Basmane station and Bornova.
Driving directions: From the airport take Basin Express Street South to Sahil Centre. Continue for 13 kilometres until the Catladikapi Intersection. Turn left and take Kucukayasofya Caddesi to Utangac Sok. After 800 metres the hotel is on the left.
