Description
Location. The Lush Hotel is located in Istanbul, Turkey. The Galata Tower is two kilometres away and Sultanahmet Square is at a four kilometre distance. Taksim Station is 200 metres from the hotel. Hotel Features. Set in the fashionable Beyoglu district, the boutique Lush Hotel occupies the renovated 19th century Pera Building, now a contemporary design property with neon lit façade. Opening to chic, trendy interiors with traditional accents, the hotel offers a concierge service and onsite parking (surcharge). Further amenities include 24 hour room service, complimentary wireless Internet, business and conference facilities, and laundry facilities.
The Lush Hotel houses a relaxed, contemporary brasserie offering a range of international dishes, and an onsite bar. Complimentary buffet breakfast is provided each morning.
Guestrooms. The 35 guestrooms have sleek, modern decor and include design features such as exposed brick walls, bold photographic prints, and contemporary seating. Some rooms are finished with traditional furnishings and rich fabrics. Amenities include air conditioning, complimentary wireless Internet, flatscreen televisions with satellite channels, minibars, safes, complimentary newspapers, and desks. Beds are made with 100 percent Turkish cotton, and bathrooms are complete with bathrobes, slippers, hair dryers, and L'Occitaine toiletries.
Expert Tip. The Dolmabahce Palace, located one kilometre from the hotel, is a 19th century European style palace which served as the administrative centre for the Ottoman Empire for 60 years. Highlights include the palace gardens, the dramatic Crystal Staircase, and the sumptuous Ataturk's Room.

DirectionsFrom Istanbul Ataturk Airport (IST): Distance to the Lush Hip Hotel is 25 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Both airport terminals are connected to the metro system, which runs to the city centre. Single tickets cost about 1 TRY. The Havas Airport bus departs every 30 minutes for the main bus terminal and Taksim Square, in central Istanbul. Journey time is about 30 minutes. Bus number 96 runs between the airport and the city centre, and a shuttle bus runs to the port. Taxis wait outside Arrivals'; fixed prices are in place and the fare to the city centre should be about 20 TRY 30 TRY. At night, there is a 50 percent surcharge. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Istanbul's extensive public transport system includes buses, metros (underground trains), trains, trams, sea buses, and ferries. Tickets can be purchased from main stops, stations, or kiosks prior to boarding. Istanbul's yellow taxis are reasonably priced, but travellers should ensure the meter is used. A cheaper alternative is to use a 'dolmus' (minibus or shared taxi). Driving is not advised for visitors.
Driving directions. From the airport, take the E 5, exit for Besiktas and head onto Barbados Boulevard. Follow the road to Taksim and turn into Siraselviler Street for the hotel.

Rome

The Vatican: The Vatican is a state on its own. The Papal City State with an endless treasure troves of sights, relics and the world-known Vatican museum. Only a few minutes walk south the Vatican City you will find Trastevere. An array of narrow cobbled streets and lonely plazas served artists like Giorgio de Chirico as the inspiration for their works.
