Description
Location. The Sarnic Hotel is located in Istanbul, Turkey, 100 metres from the Blue Mosque and 500 metres from the Grand Bazaar. Sultanahmet Tram Station is situated 250 metres from the hotel. Hotel Features. Set in the historic Sultanahmet area, the boutique Sarnic Hotel occupies a renovated turn of the century mansion with an ornate stone facade and opens to a traditionally decorated lobby area with LCD television and magazines. DirectionsFrom Istanbul Ataturk Airport (IST): Distance to the Sarnic Hotel is 18 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Both airport terminals are connected to the metro system, which runs to the city centre. Single tickets cost approximately 1 TRY. The Havas Airport bus departs every 30 minutes for the main bus terminal and Taksim Square, 3.5 kilometres from the hotel. Journey time is approximately 30 minutes. Bus number 96 runs between the airport and the city centre, and a shuttle bus runs to the port. Taxis wait outside Arrivals; fixed prices are in place and the fare to the city centre should be approximately 20 30 TRY. At night, there is a 50 per cent surcharge. Prices are subject to change.
Getting around. Istanbul's extensive public transport system includes buses, metros (underground trains), trains, trams, sea buses, and ferries. Tickets can be purchased from main stops, stations, or kiosks prior to boarding. Istanbul's yellow taxis are reasonably priced, but travellers should ensure the meter is used. A cheaper alternative is to use a 'dolmus' (minibus or shared taxi). Driving is not advised for visitors.

Rome
Old Rome was the heart of Roman medieval and Renaissance periods.
