A 19th century three storey Ottoman townhouse located in Istanbul's mid town district, less than 300 metres from the Blue Mosque, the Tashkonak Hotel features 32 guestrooms with contemporary decor in rich colours, hardwood floors and wooden Ottoman style furniture. DirectionsThere are regular bus services from the airport to the Old Town. A newly built Airport Metro station links to central Istanbul, where the hotel is located. Expect a taxi to cost 15 20 EUR.
Driving directions: From the airport, look for signs to Sirkeci and follow the coastal road for 15 kilometres to Sultanahmet. Turn left on Kennedy Caddesi to Aksakal Sokak. Continue for 200 metres and turn right on to Kucuk Ayasofya Street. The hotel is located on the left.
